3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark cloudy yellow with a big white head. Foam lasts a while but eventually melts into a ring. Smell is very fruity. Reminiscent of fruit cocktail. Taste is also sweet and fruity with an unusual finish. Out of place. Maybe a spice? Nice palate and carbonation.
Overall a nice beer. Great effort by Sam Adams folks. But there are a lot of better Tripels out there.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours golden with a nice head. Smells like it should with a nice spice aroma. The Belgium flavor is on the higher end, and the spices are nice. The spices taste like ommegang mixture. Overall a nice flavor.
I had this from a 22 ounce bottle.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
New World Tripel is generally considered the most-complimented brew in the Barrel Room Collection, but I purchased it for a different reason. I, er, thought the bottle was really cool. No regrets. New World is a lovely take on the Abbey Tripel. And I do mean lovely. New World pours amber-gold. Body is hugely effervescent and the tight-bubble head likes to hang around. Aroma showcases banana and other fruity esters, earth, and candy-like malt. Flavor is tropical, spicy, oaky, and malty. The bitterness from the Saaz hops is minimal. There are some fairly aggressive Tripels out there; New World isn’t one of them. This is a bold, classy, and boozy Belgian adaptation.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: Bottle from Lucky in San Carlos, CA
Aroma: Spiced mangos, peaches
Taste: Thick, spiced tropical fruits, mango puree.
Overall: Missing some of that signature Belgian floral note but I actually appreciated that. A great American take on the style.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A bright golden beer that pours with a large foamy head. It has a zesty lemon and spicy pineapple and orange flavour, gentle vanilla and oak notes with biscuit and peach on the warming, spiced creamy finish. Excellent!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Solid tripel through and through. A bit less carbonated than the Old World varieties, and maybe a bit heavier in mouthfeel, too.
