COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams New World Tripel: Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

Liked it for New Yearís Eve. Very bubbly, tasty with fruity flavors. Sort of like champagne. Citrus/tropical fruit flavors, Despite the bubbles, not much carbonation. Little light spice flavor. Tasty, would drink again. Note: 11 month old bottle was not as pleasant and light - tasted OK but not as good as the first "younger" bottle. It did not age gracefully.

2/26/2015. From bottle. Light amber with a thick white head. Sweet, buttery aromas with honey and tropical fruit. Similar flavors, sweet sticky texture, hints of alcohol and spices with a light hoppy finish.

750 ml bottle pours a hazy golden color with a nice white head. Aromas of sweet light malt, light fruit, belgian yeast. Light bodied, one of their better beers ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Air is wonderful and gives your nose a dream to look forward to. Color is a beautiful golden cascade. Taste is pungent and powerful. I personally do not believe that the aroma matches the flavor. The description of the flavor is accurate, just not my cup of tea. Very wide range on the flavor spectrum. Overall, a mediocre attempt at a craft beer.

750 ml bottle, no date code.
Hazy orangy sunset, thick lasting head above lively carbonation.
Sweet citrus aroma, some yeast.
Flavor is sweet and fruity, a little spicy hops, and very light oak.
finish is a little too sweet.

750 ml bottle from Caputoís, Downers Grove. Well, I had a Winter Hook from the Seattle area yesterday, and didnít want any more beer. So tonight Iím having the Boston beer (though the label says Boston AND Cincinnati). No date on it, but itís the only unrated Sam I have right now. Luckily, no gusher when I pulled the cork. Golden color in my tulip, steady stream of bubbles feeding a thin, fizzy head. Smell is Juicy Fruit and kumquat, a bit of sugar. Taste is pleasantly like a standard tripel, again some fruity bubble gum, a note of warm-fermented spiciness. It starts to get a bit sugary, but not overly so. Itís been said before, though, some dubels are much more interesting than tripels, and this one tends to hit the style squarely, with out adding much more. Barrel-aging does not appear in the taste on this late-2014 bottle.

Unclear orange amber with frothy, bubbly off-white head. Yeasty, fruity, pineapple, peppery aroma. Full body. Chewy, Almost Syrupy, saved by the carbonation. Powerfully flavored. Peppery. Warm alcohol.

Bottle (750 ml). Splt 4-ways with the family.

Appearance: Bright dark golden with a medium easy to revive off-white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Fruity notes, followed by some spiciness, biscuity malt, alcohol and hints of candi sugar.

Taste: Quite fruity with moderate spiciness, light sweetness, biscuity malt, alcohol, candi sugar. Belgian influence is quite noticeable here.

Palate: Medium body. Soft pricky carbonation. Warming and spicy finish.

Overall: Well executed Tripel. A bit strong on alcohol (not necessarily the abv, but the alcohol feeling), but balance isnít bad. Quite fruity. Good.
