COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams New World Tripel: Pale gold in color, this ale is big, flavorful and complex. A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.

This brewery (which is underrated) is killing it with this series. A good mix of spices and some fruit flavor to make it special with some hops that add just a touch of bitterness. The alcohol hides behind the rest, making it another good one.

Pours clear slightly dark gold with a moderate frothy white top. Aroma is cereal grains and fruity finish. Taste is slight fruit and cereal grains with a dry palate and slight hop bitterness. Nice sipper for the night.

OK, the latest from the oak barrel series from Sam Adams, Iíve been impressed so far. I like the distinctive barrel design of the bottle and the etched label is very well done. This one has a unique aroma of nutty Belgian yeast, passion fruit, banana, sweet malt, herbs, and grass. First class appearance of clear, dark gold with a thick, creamy, white blanket of a head that leaves thick lacing. Aroma is very pronounced while pouring. This is really a well crafted ale, the sweet, bitter, and sour flavors are well balanced, with the right amount of carbonation. Itís as good as the best tripels from Belgium. Has a soft, well rounded flavor. Medium to full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is perfectly balanced. Really looks and tastes like a genuine Belgian with itís own unique qualities, very impressive. The alcohol is well hidden, a good fall sipper.

"Tropical fruit and spice indeed! Ever so slight hop bite. Maaaybe a bit sweeter and fruitier than the norm, but also dry in the finish and quite tasty. I have been impressed with this series."

Drank out of a dixie cup. Lots of spices. Not much oak. Mango. Decent tripel, but not my thing.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a tall rocky white head that left nice lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit, light banana, and spices. Flavor was sweet with tropical fruit, yeast, honey, sweet malts, pepper, candi sugar and had a touch of some spices.

Backlog rating on 8-04-2012 at Brew Haven (New Haven, IN) This draft beer forms a small white head with a long retention, yellow transparent body, no visible carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma is malt, yeast, light hops, banana, and clove. The flavor is sweet malt, lightly bitter, banana, and yeast. This beer is medium bodied. The ABV is hidden in this beer and I like the way the flavors come together in this beer. This beer is a beer I would drink again.

75l bottle, must be at least a few years old. Cork comes out with a nice pop but no gushing. Pours a clear amber with a generous white head. Aromas of fruity yeast esters and some light oak. Taste is semi sweet and lightly bitter. Flavors of clove, banana, some bubblegum and a touch of oak. High carbonation. Finish is semi sweet, lightly bitter and pretty quick. Decent. High boost.
