Liked this a lot. Tart enough to be interesting, some funky moldy bread aroma.flavor kind of reminded me a little of sourdough bread. A little oaky, some red berry/fruity flavors. Solid beer, would get some more.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Choice Beverages in McKinney. Pours a deep reddish amber with a thin tan head. The aromas are dark fruit, sour. The mouthfeel is sourdry and bitter with a strong crabonation and medium body. Cheers!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A corked and caged 1 pt. 9.4 oz. bottle yields a clear, dark brown liquid with hints of red hue. There is a substantial tan head that lingers until the glass is empty, leaving good lacing. The aroma is earthy, fruity and spicy. There is also a hint of alcohol in the nose. Palate entry is sweet and short-lived as flavors of dark cherry, raisin, port wine and peppery spice quickly take over. The oak barrel aging really peeks through in the finish, which is gloriously well-balanced, complex and long-lasting. ABV comes in at 9.0 percent. Very Good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Seriously good. Brown, slightly fruity, and sour. There’s a bit of vinegar taste that makes it feel slightly "cheap" but other than that, a surprising entry into the world of sours by Samuel Adams.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from bottle into snifter. Pours a very dark amber color with a slightly yellow head, that fades to almost nothing quickly. Smells sour and almost vinegary with a small hint of fruit. Taste is sour on the front taste and the after taste is very vinous. Moderate carbonation but leaves a dry taste in your mouth like a red wine. Very interesting beer. Might even be a beer to suggest to people who are more interested in wines.
