Dark brown pour with tan head. Sweet brown sugar, molasses, and chocolate on the nose. A bit of vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, lots of dark fruits, and an interesting banana note. The flavor is pleasantly sweet with good vanilla, dark fruit, and sugar notes. Some banana, coffee, mild roasted malt, chocolate, spices, and a subtle tartness of plum on the finish.

Thank you, Shrubber! Pours see-thru dark brown, dark tan head. Aroma of banana nut bread, slightly sour dark fruit. Taste is nutty, bready, sweet...dark fruited. Slightly dry-alcohol feel. Not exactly what I’d peg as an Imperial Stout, but awfully darn good.

Yeasty and fun! This is not what I was expecting from Sam Adams. I bought the bottle from FoodTown. Raisin? It’s good! $9.99 in Harlem.

Bottle. Belgian yeast, molasses malt, and oak, and light alcohol aroma. Mahogany with a small tan head. Sweet molasses heavy brown sugar, roasty malt, Belgian yeast, sour oak, and slight anise flavor. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. A little too sweet for my taste, and I wasn’t digging the anise flavor.

Bottle share. White wine grape nose, but a weird dry tart cherry trailing. Super different. Taste is more tart and wine-dry. Absolutely the most rogue impy stout I've had. But so good!

Dark fruits and alcohol on the nose. Fruity, caramel and alcohol taste. Major carbonation on palate. Overall good beer, but expensive for what you get. Better stuff out there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Spicy chocolate, caramel, malt, oak, and alcohol aroma. Very dark chestnut with small head. Sweet milk chocolate syrup, roasted malt, and strong wood flavor. Not bad - on the sweet side.
