Chocolate malts on the nose with hints of Brett and wood. Pours black with a thin off white head. Fruit upfront with spicy Brett followed by chocolate malts and oaky vanilla. Trace hints of funk in the background very nice!!

Pours thin and over carbonated. I get no oak or spices in the nose or taste. Taste is undesirable. Mostly Belgian but in the worst ways. Not a stout at all. Drain pour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 750 ml cage corked bottle that is shaped like an anti-tank grenade. Black as motor oil pour with a clingy off-white head. Aroma has some chocolate accents, a bit of pipe tobacco, a touch of molasses. Flavor is full-bodied and rich with some bittersweet chocolate, a bit of molasses, some overripe dates, a bit of red wine. Belly-warming and filling. Thick, sticky rich mouthfeel - overall, pretty solid.

This is right up my alley. Chocolaty, coffee, slightly sweet. An overall fantastic stout.

Impromptu tasting on my birthday. This is not classifed as a stout on Ratebeer. This is good, b/c itís nowhere near a stout. The aroma is sweet, bread, fruit, licorice. The appearance is a deep black, tan head. The flavor is cola, pepper, chocolate, caramel. The finish is pepper, light hops. Medium in body. OK. Not outstanding.

Going into this I didnít know it was a belgian style stout, so I was a bit thrown off! But it was still a tasty beer and very enjoyable.

Bottle at the Casanova Beer Cave festival. Very dark pour with a foamy head. Dark fruit, roasty, and sweet. Really nice brew!

A nice medium brown body with a tan head that had minimal retention and no lace. A elevated carbonation level and kind of loose looking. Aroma had a good mix of leather notes, dried fruits, mild coffee and a nice cherry coke quality. Flavor had a nice roasted quality to it, dark fruit notes came through nicely. Nice esters and hints of warming alcohol in the finish. No real notes from the spices. Just didnít get it. Chocolate malts were present but mild.
