I sampled this at a Sam Adams sampling. The appearance was dark, but a bit lighter than what I expect from a stout. The aroma and taste both reminded me of cola with some yeast and coffee beans. Strange taste for a stout, and I wasn’t a fan.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a dark brown almost black with tan head. Aroma is robust chocolate with some caramel and toffee. Taste doesn't live up to the expectation. Some sour funk. Weird combination of the Belgian yeast and spices with the chocolate and coffee. Not bad but not as good as most Sam Adams beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very balanced flavor which is more sour than sweet. Dark brown color with fluffy tan head. I can’t pick out the 13 ingredients!

Flarra Chapter. Mycket komplex doft. Choklad kaffe samt körsbär o läder. Lätt syrlig smak av körsbär choklad o kryddor. Sen kommer kaffet o en behaglig eftersmak. Trevlig.

(750ml bottle) Pours a mahogany body with a small beige head. Aroma of mint, chocolate, raisins, and vanilla. Flavor of chocolate, plum, brown sugar, banana, coffee, mint, and caramel.

Bottle - Pours dark brown to black...creamy offwhite head. Coffee, chocolate muffin, nuts; spicy character, vanilla... hops in the finish. Somewhat sweet.

Bottle: Poured a dark black color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some chocolate notes and fruity ester from the yeast is pretty awesome. Taste is a nice mix of roasted malt with loads of black chocolate notes and some residual sugar with nice fruity ester notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Pretty solid take on the Belgian style stout IMHO.

We think that this is a bad bottle as it has a sour edge to it. Pretty far from an imperial stout. Disappointed.
