3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A decent Belgian style beer. Aroma was all spices. Belgian yeast, pepper, and bubblegum. Pour was a deep dark brown/black with a thin tan ring for a head. Taste was a little too spicy for my taste. Hot and peppery with the yeast playing on peppercorn, coffee, cinnamon and dark fruits. Way too hot. The finish is all Belgian yeast. Could use a little more chocolate/malt flavors to balance out the sweet and spicy Belgian flavors. Nice carbonation

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml corked and caged. Dark, ruby brown pour, with a small off white head. Quite a dark fruit, cherry, smoky aroma. Light spices, some wood and some tartness i was not expecting. Tastes like this beer was aged on sour cherries, weird. The finish is not very bitter, and ends with coffee, and light roast with some lingering sweet dark fruit.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
It poured a clear dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of chocolate, spicy esters, some vanilla and a hint of vinegar. The taste was of cocoa, zesty spices, plums, some dark fruits, a little alcohol and a light tartness. It had a medium body with a fairly thin mouth feel. Not bad.

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep0 black color with no head or lace. Taste is sweet and boozy with a vanilla bourbon flavor > decent and more flavorful of fruits and malt as it warms up.

Bottled 750ml@VWPBF, bought from brewery
Dark ruby color, small brown head. Papery malty, slightly toasted aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, chocolate, a bit tart maybe. Thinnish for this ABV.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour from a 750 ml bottle at FOBAB 2013. Pours a deep, cloudy brown with a small khaki head. Definite Belgian character here, with sweet malts, cocoa, dark and dried fruits, coffee, oak, and spice. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and a malty, fruity mouthfeel. I generally donít tend to go crazy for Belgian imperial stouts, and this wonít change my mind. But itís not bad.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: Dark brown cola color with healthy beige head
Aroma: Hefe-like a with a slight amount of oak and caramel
Taste: Chocolate and toffee with a yeasty spicy citrus finish. The body is much lighter a stout.
Overall: I was hoping for some more a barrel aged or sour taste but ultimately this is more a spiced belgian ale..
