This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Bottle. Very dark red color. Medium-big head which lasts. Aromas of toast, dates, caramel and chocolate. Really nice. In flavor dates, vanilla, chocolate. Full body. Sweet. Chocolate aftertaste. Wow. This is example of how lager beers actually can be flavorfull, and not so boring. Really good stuff.

dark brown, roasted, fairly aromatic and slightly thin and dry, this is a nice example of the style. Doesn’t do anything great, but does everything well. recommended as part of a sampler."

12oz bottle poured into a shaker glass. Clear dark brown with a small beige head. Soft roast aroma, some coffee, dark chocolate and mellow grassy hops. Sweetish dark malts, cocoa, low bitterness, capuccino and faint ash. Medium bodied, not very dry, lacks some bitterness but OK.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown to black with brown-greyish head, good lacing. Taste of dark roasted malts, coffee. Taste has a little sweetness, a little bitterness from the roasted malts to balance, but is rather cloying still. Smooth palate, light bodied despite the dark color, watery, rather flat.

355cc bottle poured into glass. Very dark red color, with light brown head that doesn’t stay for long. Medium body, high carbonation (a bit too high for my liking). Aroma of malt and citrus. Low bitterness. Nice beer.

Lite aroma. Nesten sort farge, med et fint og svært holdbart skum. Noe røstet. Litt tynn og lett i smaken.

Bottle, 355ml. Pours close to black, deep dark colour with beige head. Bready, dark roasted, light smokey, dusty malt, bread and burnt sugar in the nose combined with milk chocolate. Roasted malt, rye and break flavour. Mild bitter end with coffee and dusty earthy hobs. Medium body - and soft carbonation. Easy drinkable.
