A nice version of a dark lager. Pours brown from the bottle with little aroma but a strong roastines on the palate followed by a slight chocolate sweetness to finish.

Bottled, pasteurised, 355ml. Dark brown with beige head. Sometimes I just cannot believ the high marks American beers get on this site and this is a case in poit. It really isn’t very good at all, a plain sweet chocolatey dunkel type of beer with very little character, a touch of roasted malt, but really not that good at all. If its not great don’t mark it high!

bottle- enjoy the style, and found this to be a nice example. Nothing mind blowing. Some roastyness that almost came off a bit too smokey at first. thicker mouthfeel. Something I wouldn’t seek out, but its nice if its there.

Good session beer...deep leather body with small khaki head. The aroma is very subtle and somewhat sweet. Taste is all roasted malt, nut and a pinch of chocolate. Watery but drinkable. Average.

Beautiful lager! I am a big fan of Sam Adaams and this beer is another winner for the low cost specialty beer market. Nice roasted malt flavor with a great head. Only drawback is the lack of any real aroma. A slight hint of dark chocolate.

Pours a dark color with tall tan head. Aroma is seriously lacking. Flavor is some roasted malt and a slight chocolatiness. Very thin. Not the best beer, but drinkable.

This one had a nice black pour with off tan head. Body was medium to full and the taste was lightly roasted flavor with a slight bit of burntness. Not a bad beer. Probably wouldn’t buy again though.

Dark, rich and smooth, this is a refreshing full bodied brew. Just the right touch of sweetness and a clean finish add to its appeal.
