Nuts, chocolate, lots of sweet malt, very mild, yet thick. No bitterness. Buttery. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven. This is the best Sam Adams beer I’ve ever had and one of my all-time favorite beers, bar none. It even has some complexity with hints of roast and slight tartness. Amazingly good.

Aug 31, 2008 To me, this is what you get when you mix Sam Adams’ Cream Stout with Sam Adams’ Octoberfest. It’s certainly got the chocolate and caramel flavor in it, although I wish it was even more noticeable. I guess I’ve got a sweet tooth and like a LOT of flavor. It’s a good looking beer with a thin head. It’s got a faint malty finish that’s still quite nice. Overall, a very good beer that I know I’ll drink more of.

Aug 29, 2008 Dark brown with a slightly red tint. Large tan head. Light aroma of a pale lager. Roasted flavor with slight coffee taste. Light body. Smooth but nothing set it apart.

Aug 29, 2008 Deep brown black with a thinnish head. Medium roasted malt aroma and flavor. Finish has a lighter roast character. Body is medium-thin. Very drinkable but nothing stellar.

Aug 28, 2008 Dark brown beer with a tan head. Aroma is caramel and roast. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, and hoppy bitterness. Finish is faint malt and fading bitterness. Very nice beer.

Aug 28, 2008 Bottle 08’. Pour is dark and the head was thin and fast fading. Sweet chocolate and coffee flavour development. Light bodied like a lager and roasty like a porter. Nice brew.
