obguthr (707), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Mar 23, 2007 Wow! Did I love this beer! It was very hard to find fault with this one. The roasted malts were sublime and somewhat akin to an imperial stout, but not as heavy, my idea of the perfect beer. The color is dark, but with a disappointing head. The flavor was smoky and robust. The lack of a pronounced hop flavor will disappoint the ale drinkers, but I liked it. The finish was short and sweet.
