Aroma of sweet roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and caramel. Deep roasted flavor with a slight hint of cocoa. Finishes a little crisp. Very well balanced. One of my favorite S.A. offerings. Finn (1072), Tromsø, Norway Aug 10, 2008 Bottle 0,33l. Dark brown colored - almost black. A huge fluffy light brown head. Chocolate and roasted malt in the nose. Soft mouthfeel. Rounded flavor with fruits and berries. Sourish bitterness. Aftertaste of coffee. FatguyRacer (83), Crownsville, Maryland, USA Aug 10, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep dark chocolate brown. Nose heavy on chocolate, malts, and dark molassas. Same flavors on the palate. Im sure there’s some hops in there somewhere, but they’re not as omnipresent like in other BBC brews. I like this beer alot.
