3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Blueberry aroma. Near med body. Flavor is pretty bb with a little pale malt. Decent fruit beer, but comes across a bit artificial in flavor. ?

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml bottle poured vigorously with a 2 finger white head that settles to leave very little lacing on the glass. Aroma is fresh blueberries and grass. Taste is a grassy and citrus hop bitterness with a blueberry and grain malt sweetness. A decent fruit beer which is done quite well with the fruit not overpowering the beer.

A good blueberry aroma and a nice looking beer. Very pleasing fruity taste and very well balance bitterness

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Aroma: Straight up blueberry pancake syrup, with a toasty biscuit malt backbone. Slight hoppy citrus, and a hint of red apple peel.
Appearance: One finger of foamy white head. Holds decent retention, and nice streamers of lace. Nothing to out of the ordinary here.
Taste: Surprisingly the malt and blueberry blend well to create a flaky crust covered cobbler flavour. Happily the blueberry was not to overwhelming.
Palate: Odd film left on the tongue from the syrupy body. Crisp carbonation on the tip of the tongue, but ends with a ever so slight dry finish.
Overall: Not my cup of tea, but if I had to drink a blueberry beer, it would probably be this one

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 ounce bottle from a mixed 12 pack. The aroma is overloaded with blueberry extract. Nothing else is present. Transparent golden body with a small, off-white head present. Starts with a fairly metallic, hoppy character. Light cereal and biscuit notes are in the middle, before a bombardment of blueberry sweetness comes in. Finishes rather dry, metallic, and bitter/hoppier than I would expect. It’s ok, but I really don’t believe that this was aged on blueberries. I’ve had to much extract in my life to be fooled by that bullshit.

Some decent blueberry character. Good malt backing. Not super fruity. More for mass appeal. Easy drinking.

2.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Hazy light amber. Aroma is blueberries, honey, citrus, grass. Taste is over the top fake blueberry like flavoring. The noble hops clash with the fruit and add a dank hops finish. Leaves a long unpleasant aftertaste. I would pass on this one.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
It pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. It has a sweet aroma of blueberries and cream. It has a slightly creamy mouth feel and tastes like blueberries, honey and a little cereal. This is a nice refreshing beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
I got this in the 12 bottle Summer pack. There’s a best by date of August 2014. I poured one into a pilsener yesterday and this one is currently in a pint glass. The only difference is the head in the pint glass as its just slightly larger in the pint glass.
The appearance is a somewhat hazy orange color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that rises a bit and then concaves to leave a gentle rolling white foamy head with some soapy clingy lacing. There is some light carbonation seen rising.
The smell was sweet blueberries, almost reminds me of blueberries in a blueberry pie but without all of the rest of the pie ingredients. Blueberry jam/filling perhaps?
The taste was once again sweet blueberries in a super nice refreshing sort of way. Crisp refreshing blueberry aftertaste with a light watery blueberry finish.
On the palate, it sat light, in fact it sat extremely light, wow, is this beer light or what? Koch, what are you up to with this one, hahaha? Anyways, sessionable - extremely. 5.5% - hmmm...seems way lighter to me.
Overall, blueberry hill lager? Hmmm....well, I’m not sure about the yeast that was used, but if anything if they ever wanted to change the name, they could always call it "Blueberry Session." This could be a pretty good after dinner treat on the deck watching the sun go down.
