Aroma is floral and malty. Flavor is deceptively hoppy and spicy. A pleasant amber that is nice for a change of pace while at the pub.

Orange bodied with tones of light brown. Nose is mild. Flavor is hoppy with a touch of caramel sweetness and maybe a hint of chestnuts. Finish is somewhat long and is also bitter.

Oct 5, 2008 Clear amber pour with a foamy head. Aroma is mostly sweet toasty malt, with just a hint of spicy citrus hop. Flavor is big on the caramel malt as well. There is a good hoppy bite on the finish. Not too complex, but pretty good.

Oct 5, 2008 Good. Coppery red appearance. Nice creamy white head. Strong, malty aroma caramel, sweetness. Nice malty flavor with a bite in the end. Not too strong on hops but not weak either. Flavor doesn’t have the taste that the aroma promises.

Sep 28, 2008 Pours a clear copper, amber color. Medium creamy white head with excellent retention and good lacing. Aroma is mild, with bread and roasted malt notes. Flavor is similar, with just a hint of caramel sweetness and a decent hop bite. A very nice, well-balanced beer.

Sep 27, 2008 Pours with a large, rocky, off-white head. Clear chestnut hued body. Aroma of sugar, light hops and caramel malts. Taste is a bit stale, some spicey hops and carboard with malt. None of the nice hop profile of Boston Lager. Somewhat fizzy.
