DeadGuyFrank (329), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Sep 14, 2007 Complex is a word that gets thrown around a lot in beer and wine reviews. Although Boston Ale is certainly complex it is very tasty and very enjoyable - beer geeks aside. Everytime I bring this somewhere occasional beer drinkers say, "wow what is that?" and then they smile. I know of no better complement.
pik5el (40), Pasadena, Maryland, USA Aug 29, 2008 Grabbed this in a Sam Adams mix pack. I would compare this to the Boston Lager. It’s pleasant, and I enjoy it. Nothing great to say though. SuIIy (1109), W Newton, Massachusetts, USA Aug 29, 2008 bottle. redish hue of a color with a small off white head. nose is lightly hoppy with some caramel and roast notes. Palate is smooth and kinda syrupy, not much tingle or carbonation. Flavor is caramel with some light hop notes in the backround, a bit of some roast and some strawish grass notes bretupdegraff (52), , Indiana, USA Aug 27, 2008 better than the standard Lager. a drinkable beer but not worth looking for. JonnyC22 (134), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Aug 26, 2008 I think it’s better than the lager, but it’s not as easy to drink. Expensive for a session beer. nqualls (185), Tennessee, USA Aug 24, 2008 I can’t find a lot of really good things to say about this beer, other than I love to drink it. It is my staple session beer. Well hopped and well balanced.
