3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pretty average. A little lighter in color than one might expected. Its good for S. Adams, I guess... I’m never really TOO impressed. Malty and I do get a little bit of spices. I’d buy again (at dinner this time). Maybe its better than the lager, it didn’t really stand out in my memory either.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark amber. Caramel malt and noble hops are at the front, with a moderately sweet and bitter taste. Bitter finish. Medium body. Overall, a decent amber ale, but too sweet and too simple to warrant any revisits.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear deep amber with big tan head, nice lacing. Aroma of dried apricot, spice, toast and biscuit, caramel and lemon. Tastes medium sweet and with some sourness upfront, light bitterness emerging after a few seconds. Medium body, fairly high carbonation, a little stickiness in aftertaste. Better than expected: well balanced, very drinkable yet sufficiently complex.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
When I first started getting in to craft beers, this was one I liked a lot. Trying again for the first time in many years. Pours a light brown, but a surprisingly dense white head. I don’t get a lot of aroma in it. A bit sweet with a malt back. Watery.. Has a black pepper finish.
Not as good as I remembered. Besides that peppery finish, there is not much new, or strong going for it.

Pours copper with small head. Aroma and taste is of malt and sweet caramel. Aftertaste is short, almost non existent. What went wrong?
