wilderthanyou (323), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Aug 16, 2007 A good standard Amber Ale, pours a deep copper colour with a two finger froathy head that bubbles down to a sticky white film. Good strong aroma of malts, which reflects the malty but well balanced malty flavour, straight forward but tasty and refreshing. A tad watery, but still the beer retains high drinkability.
Steely (37), , Sweden Oct 11, 2008 Golden amber color with a frothy white head. Sweet malty aroma with hints of caramel, spices and bread. Flavor is sweet and clean of toasty malt, caramel and some sweet dried fruit with a hint of light hop-bitternes in the finish. edden (924), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Oct 7, 2008 10/7/08: Bottle. Orange bodied with tones of light brown. Nose is mild. Flavor is hoppy with a touch of caramel sweetness and maybe a hint of chestnuts. Finish is somewhat long and is also bitter. SuperDave70 (832), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 5, 2008 Clear amber pour with a foamy head. Aroma is mostly sweet toasty malt, with just a hint of spicy citrus hop. Flavor is big on the caramel malt as well. There is a good hoppy bite on the finish. Not too complex, but pretty good. borgination (95), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Oct 5, 2008 Good. Coppery red appearance. Nice creamy white head. Strong, malty aroma caramel, sweetness. Nice malty flavor with a bite in the end. Not too strong on hops but not weak either. Flavor doesn’t have the taste that the aroma promises. WesKBob (167), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours a clear copper, amber color. Medium creamy white head with excellent retention and good lacing. Aroma is mild, with bread and roasted malt notes. Flavor is similar, with just a hint of caramel sweetness and a decent hop bite. A very nice, well-balanced beer.
