3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice red, copper color. Little to no head. Nicely balanced beer: more sweet that bitter in my opinion but nice refreshing middle of the road red.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Boston Logan Airport. Reddish copper in colour with a thin cream head; nutty malt aroma; soft and malty in the mouth with some light caramel; and a toffee finish.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Some stringy lace from nearly a non-existent head; Deep ruby color and absolutely clear.
Mild smell--virtually nothing. What I can detect is very neutral.
Far more bitter than I expected. Good malt flavor which means its well-balanced. The aftertaste is short lived. Full bodied with a proper level of carbonation. Overall, a decent Red.

Draught at Cheers in Boston. This is a simple straightforward ale without much going for it.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 14, 2013 Draft pour, nice calm beer at the Warren in Charlestown. Dark maroon with minimal head and great lacing. Not much of an aroma, what is there is malt. Tasty though, sweet malts with a dry bitter finish. Good after ambling around the neighborhood, and I’m sure pours of this here at the Warren and all along the Freedom Trail have refreshed legions of tourists over the years.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2013
Location: Draft at Doyle’s, 7/9/13
Aroma: The nose is caramel and fruit with some hop notes as well
Appearance: Dark caramel-reddish color, clear and clean, with a beige head, and mid-plus lace
Flavor: It has a medium sweet flavor, some clean hop notes, and a mild bitterness
Palate: It has a medium body, a nice, creamy feel on the mouth, and a soft carbonation
I thought that this was a pretty tasty red. It came off as a bit more sweet than hoppy, but it stays fairly close to balanced.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear ruby copper color, light head cover, broad stripes of lace. Taste is fizzy caramel malt that grows a little through the palate, adding a bit of bittering at the finish. Slightly oily texture diminishes from the experience. Too similar to many Sam Adams offerings.
