On tap somewhere in Boston, can’t remember where. Cool idea that it’s Boston-only (and only on draft.) Really enjoyable red; definitely a session style ale. A much, much better alternative to Killian’s, etc. If it’s still around when I get back to Boston, I’ll be having a few of these.

Une rousse trop froide dans un gros bock au Cheers. Mousse et dentelles. Nez de malts toastés avec pointe de noix et contour floral. Goût de rousse irlandaise bien faite mais inintéressante. Corps normal et finale grillée. Bien correct.

[7936-20151114] Tap. Mild grainy toast aroma. Clear, red amber body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter grains and sweet malty toast flavour. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

On tap at Doyle’s, Boston. It’s clear, dark amber colored beer with a dense, off-white head. The aroma is bready, roasted and lightly fruity. Some bitterness in the flavor, a little fruity touch too, but it’s mostly the malts that run the show. Bread, nuts and some roasted notes, lasting for a while. Easy drinkable and tasteful, but a bit ordinary. 150608

22oz glass in Boston. Pours a deep cherried amber. Solid lacing, thick creamy head. Aroma of rustic malts, dried cherry, and grain. Taste of amber infused hops, malts, and more grain. Dry finish, easily drinkable. A nice session brew.
