Ahhhhh, why cant all big breweries taste like this? It was nothing too special, but much better than the typical macrobrew that is out there. A very solid beer that can be found just about anywhere and a great fall back when real good stuff cannot be found.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Really rather pleasant. Pretty amber color, more like a bitter than a lager in appearance. Nice, lasting head. Flavor is of gentle caramel malts balanced by flowery hops. In the past, I have detected an almost soapy flavor, but that seemed to die back around the time that the hop flavor was scaled back. Touch overcarbonated. Almost always a safe bet when the going is rough for selections.

At last an American beer that I can be happy to write about. We don't get any of the micros here so this is as small as there is. Simply, I like this one a lot. Great floral aroma of Tettnager and Willamette, beautiful body, and a good mouthfeel.

The aroma is dominated by brewmash with notes of sweet malt. The color is orange and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is a nice malt sweetness with notes of oranges, and a slight bitterness - too slight for my liking. An OK lager but boring for a Sam Adams.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big white head above the beautiful amber colour. Impressively floral/fruity aroma for a lager. Initial flavour is sweet with caramel malts and very well balanced by the long hoppy finish (probably Cascade hops).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2004 Somewhat floral aroma, some hop flavor, mostly malty. Decent beer you can get most places. RERATE: This beer is much better fresh at the brewery, very crisp with a malt (almost honey) sweetness, I really couldn't drink enough of this fresh. It's really a shame that it just isn't that great in bottles or typically on tap.

Poured a medium white creamy head and it had good lacing to it. Some carbonation was noted rising to the top. It had a somewhat fruity aroma to it. It was bitter tasting and had an aftertaste that lingered.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew pours a medium head of fine to medium sized white bubbles and a transparent amber colored body. The head lasted a long time. Its aroma was that of mild malts and hops. It had a bitter initial taste then finished more smoothly. It had a typical hop flavor.

A great "fall back beer" when the bar you're in dosen't have any other interesting beers, they probably have this. Nice floral hop aroma, decent bitterness and body. A pleasant drink when fresh.
