3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
a: nice amber color with foamy 1/2" head with little retention, slight lacing and carbonation
s: nice malt profile and hint of floral hop
t: malt dominates the palate. I do taste a bit of hop bitterness, but not quite enough for my palate. Overall well balanced
m&d: Decent mouthfeel, light to medium body

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
My first ever american lager beer.
A good compromise between hop and malt tastes I liked it. Though I would say that there are lots of equivalent cheaper alternatives to be found in luxembourg ;-)

I’ve never been a fan of Sam Adams flagship beer. The taste is a bit funny to me. I prefer the Sam Adams specialty beers much more over this one. Taste has always been metallic to me with a bitter back-end. Pours clear, reddish amber.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Red light brown, clean and lasting small lace. Moderate yet modern aroma, accessible for sure, but biscuity. Strong bitterness for the style. Very nicely drinkable yet bitter character. Especially for what this beer is. Good stuff. (33cl - ish bottle from V&B Tours)

From 355 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with a sudsy white head and fairly light carbonation. Aromas of baked apple, raisin and hay. Taste is malty up front with light fruit coming through before a lemony hop bite emerges. Clean finish with a fruity aftertaste. A mile away from your average macro lager. Really good stuff.

Beer gets a bad rap from too many people because it is everywhere, not overly hoppy, and not high alcohol . However, like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, this is a classic and one of the few good beers you could find in the USA 15 years ago. It is well balanced, with both a slightly hoppy and malty smell and aroma. Crisp, clean, and a good everyday drinker.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark gold color with a finger width head that’s just off-white. Aroma of malt mostly, with a bit of hops. Flavor is sweet malt that carries into the finish. Good beer that’s safe as a "go to". Good beginner beer into the craft world.
