2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
An excellent match for just about any type of food and since you can find this just about anywhere there is no excuse to not try this one. Pitiful that the major of people who drink beer find this beer "too strong". I have a hard time biting my lip when I hear people making this comment after trying Sam Adams for the first time.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Actually brewed @Shepherd Neame, Kent... Metallic red-golden, utterly clear beer, lazily bubbled with a small white head. Sweet, caramel, some oxydation and noble hops. Rosewater, lychee. Cake, caramel, toasted malts but again a hint at good (USA-like?) hops - if once again, with a tad oxydation. Warming up, cornflakes. Light body, if pretty slick. Bit undercarbonated. Lasting light bitterness. Decent, even if big volume lager.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
I’m thinking of the commercial that mentions how you can float a bottle cap on the head.
Pours a nice amber color. Pretty thick foamy white head. Decent retention, very nice lacing. I’m torn, for a lager this should get a much higher score.
Aroma is caramel, and floral. A little piney, a little citrus, but not too much. Pretty hoppy, but not overwhelming. Again, this is much better than most lagers.
Taste is very good. Caramel sweet, balanced with some bitter hops, but leaning sweet. It’s earthy and rich. It has some nice lightly roasted malt. Well balanced, is it bitter, is it sweet?
Mouthfeel is light-medium. It’s a little watery, but not too much. It’s not too dry. It finishes a little sweet, although the hops do bring some bitterness into the mix. Super drinkable.
Overall, this is an amazing lager. It’s somewhat historic, opening the door to craft brews in the US. I think of it as the perfect beer to drink when golfing. Of course, it’s great any time. If you haven’t tried it, you must!!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at hard rock Times Square. Haven't rated before??? Nose is sweet and a bit of hop. Color is light amber with medium head. Smooth and a bit crisp but thicker than a lot of ales. Dry and full, some hop burst - mild - fruit sweetness and little to no citrus bite. A decent fall back macro

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Sweet bready malt, molasses and caramel and yeast.
Palate: Medium Body
Flavor: Bready malt, caramel, touch of molasses. On the finish, the malty sweetness transitions to a lingering bitter hop and grain finish.
Comment: Much maltier than the lagers from larger commercial producers. The body and sweetness holds on through the mid-palate and then a balancing bitter finish kicks in. Though I currently like a drier lager style, this is a decently made beer and I preferred it to the contrasting ale that I tasted it against (Sierra Nevada).
