Commercial Description:
The Brown Ale is a traditional beer related to the first beers ever brewed commercially. Brewed with an interesting blend of malts, including pale two-row Harrington, Metcalfe, and Maris Otter malt, Caramel, Munich, and roasted Carafa malts, the Brown Ale shines with a deep mahogany luster. The malt flavor is complex and deep as well, with notes of biscuit, nut, and caramel. With moderate hop bitterness, a deep malt body, and a fruity ale fermentation character, the Samuel Adams Brown Ale satisfies the soul and doesn’t overwhelm the tongue.

Pours rootbeer brown with a large, dual head. The lower part of the head is darker than the upper part, with a defined line between the two. Aroma is predominently hoppy, brown sugar/ molasses undertones. Flavor begins with lots of toffee, but quickly becomes tarnished penny flavor. Ugh. After the metallic note, burned toast and sweet dark chocolate come in. Definitely some toffee in there as well. Tone back the carbonation, acidity, and that metallic flavor, and this would be a nice beer. Until then, it jsut seems unfinished.

Apesar de fraca no aroma e no paladar, não decepciona. Bastante malte-caramelo e retrogosto adocicado.

Sweet caramel aroma arises from this brown ale. You can taste the malts and roastiness as this slightly overcarbonated bear slides down my throat.

A nice roasted nut smell as soon as I opened the botte. Picture perfect head formed and LASTED for over 10 minutes when poured into mug. Nut taste from start to finish. Underrated ale from Sam Adams. Those that don’t like it drink BEER-PAGNE, go figure...

I liked this beer very much. Pours a dark brown and has a sweet caremel aroma. Sweet with a caremal flavor. Low carbonation and good aftertaste.

From bottle : Pours a nice dark beautiful brown color with offwhite head. A sweet roasted caramel aroma. There is a little bit of carbonation. A nice medium body, It feels smooth on your tounge. Very nice malt flavor with touches of caramel, and slightly sweet. Finishs nice, with good aftertaste. Would recommend.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with diminishing tan head. Aroma is pretty weak, with hints of malt, caramel. Flavor is malty, with notes of burnt toast, caramel, biscuit, dough. Moderately sweet and lightly bitter with some light pine nut. Light to medium in body, light in carbonation, overall a little bland. I’m not a fan of this one.

12 oz. bottle, short blurb on the neck label, freshness date along the left side of front label, sampled in a pint glass. Poured a clear reddish brown with a large rocky pale tan head, slowly dissipated into a thin creamy lacing, small amount of laced sticking. Sweet toasted caramel malty aroma, hints of roasted nuts, light whiffs of earthy, floral leafy hops. Creamy medium body, a smooth crispness with a dry finish. Sweet malty taste, toasted caramel, sugary, dry biscuits and a light roasted nuttiness. A nice, softly bitter hoppiness, orangey citric notes, earthy leafiness, ending in a salty spiciness. An quite quaffable brown ale from BBC, smooth, balanced taste, I could easily drink a six of this over the course of an evening, very enjoyable.
