Commercial Description:
The Brown Ale is a traditional beer related to the first beers ever brewed commercially. Brewed with an interesting blend of malts, including pale two-row Harrington, Metcalfe, and Maris Otter malt, Caramel, Munich, and roasted Carafa malts, the Brown Ale shines with a deep mahogany luster. The malt flavor is complex and deep as well, with notes of biscuit, nut, and caramel. With moderate hop bitterness, a deep malt body, and a fruity ale fermentation character, the Samuel Adams Brown Ale satisfies the soul and doesn’t overwhelm the tongue.

12 oz bottle. Not much aroma or head, but good bitterness and nutty flavor. Waters out a bit at the end though, needs more body.

RERATED: I tried this beer a few months after I initially tried it. At first...hated it...but now - love it. Just enough bite mixed w/ good malty flavor. Highly enjoyed.

Deep amber pour with an off white fizzy head. Aroma is a distinct roasted with a slight hop balance. Flavor has a slightly sweet but not overly strong caramel maltiness with a very slight hop character on the finish. Palate is some what milky.

Dark Brown color. medium carbonation, wasn’t overly impressed with this one. Maybe brown ale isn’t to my liking. Just couldn’t finish this one.

Dark, murky brown color with a thin white head. Toasted malt aromas with a bit of nuttiness. Touch of sweetness, maybe caramel or molasses. Medium body and moderatly carbonated. Smmoth on the tongue with a clean finish.
