rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Apr 29, 2007 Slight maly nutty aroma that fades quickly. Darkish amber color with no head. Light malt flavor with moderate apple/yeast middle. Finishes sticky and chewy. Lingering thick feeling in my mouth. ScoWRee (275), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 29, 2007 Pours a clear dark brown with a tan foamy head. Aroma is nutty, malty roasty. Taste is a bit bitter and weak. Nutty. punkrkr27 (608), Berkley, Michigan, USA Apr 23, 2007 Clear deep copper pour with a small quickly fading white head. Nutty and bready malt aroma, hints of roasted malt, pear and brown sugar. Nutty malt flavor, some light fruit, a little soapy quality, some mild hop bitterness lending to a crisp finish. Thin body. A fairly average beer, not something I would probably ever seek out again, but I would drink this over macro. xskinyx (6), USA does not count Apr 23, 2007 My favorite brown ale to date... really deep flavor.
