Aegrus (49), USA Dec 4, 2006 Bottled. Pint Glass. Samuel Adams does deliver a very good-looking beer, as usual. More clear than their black lager with the same mahogany coloring. Much thinner head. Lively carbonation in an otherwise thin body. Malty flavor that is well-hopped. Not particularly impressive, but drinkable. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Dec 3, 2006 Pours light pale brown with minimal, fizzy, white head. Aroma is lightly sweet brown suger, and a little nutty. Flavor follows aroma. Palate is a little thin, fizzy mouthfeel, lightly bittersweet finish.
