Commercial Description:
The Brown Ale is a traditional beer related to the first beers ever brewed commercially. Brewed with an interesting blend of malts, including pale two-row Harrington, Metcalfe, and Maris Otter malt, Caramel, Munich, and roasted Carafa malts, the Brown Ale shines with a deep mahogany luster. The malt flavor is complex and deep as well, with notes of biscuit, nut, and caramel. With moderate hop bitterness, a deep malt body, and a fruity ale fermentation character, the Samuel Adams Brown Ale satisfies the soul and doesn’t overwhelm the tongue.

Bottle. Pours a deep, adrk brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel and malt. Flavor is a blend of caramel, malt, and nut. Very good brown ale, easy to drink and not too bitter.

I’m a huge fan of Sam’s Lager and also their strong specialty offerings. The multitudes of other beers they offer don’t excite me all that much.

Pours reddish brown in color. Formed a 2 finger head that hung around for a little while. Pick up a little malt on the nose, as well as some nuttiness. Mouthfeel is medium. Tastes a bit nutty, get a touch of bitterness from the hops, very little malt sweetness though, but enough I guess to where its not real bitter. This is an okay brew, nothing outstanding about it. A solid effort, but i wouldnt search it out.578

Has an odd aroma and a slightly nutty flavor, and hinted at caramel. VERY attractive on the pour. Color and head are both quite rich. This is quite possibly the prettiest beer I have ever seen.

Not a great brown ale but not the worst either. Body is brown and fairly smooth. Decent maltiness and hops.

12oz bottle. Pours a light tan head with a ruby brown body. Smells of brown sugar and bread. Tastes the same. Balanced all around with a good finish.
