Samuel Adams Brown Ale

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Caramelish aroma. Medium-bodied, lightly burned caramel flavours and a rather dry finish. No great Brown Ale. 060706

12 oz bottle. Pours nut brown with a light brown head. Caramel malty aroma. Flavour is also caramel malty, very soft and mild. Mild dry finish. Ok but nothing big.

Bottle. Clear orange coloured with an off white head. Aroma of malts and caramel with notes of nuts. Flavour of malts, caramel, hops and nuts. Hoppy finish.

Bright reddish-brown. No head. The aroma is nutty and caramelly. Decent body. Toasty, with a hint of chocolate sweetness. Thin in the finish.

(12oz bottle, best by 9/06) Frothy beige head atop a clear chestnut body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some chocolate, nutty, light roasty. Taste is medium sweet, nutty, caramel, some chocolate, light earthy, faint anise. Light-medium body, mild stickiness.

Bottle. Red brown colour with a medium beige head. Caramel malty, light roasted, nutty, vanilla aroma and taste. Medium body with a light sweet, light dry finish.

Nutty, caramelly aroma with some distant fruit character. caramelly flavor with coffee notes. Just a bit thin. Nutty aftertaste. Not unpleasant, quite tasty in fact, but not my first choice.
