| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2006 I had always refused to buy a six pack of this when I saw it in the grocery store because I am not sure that Sam Adams can make a beer better than Boston Ale/Lager but upon seeing this in a single bottle, I snatched it up. Brown color, malty and rich smelling as well as tasting. Pretty interesting, very easy to drink, not worth a six pack purchase, but its worth trying, and certianly drinkable. You wouldnt catch me turning down bottles of this if it was offered. Not bad. BuckeyeBoy (1699), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Boston Brewing makes a lot of different beers and they are all remarkably average. Not great, but not bad. This is right in there with the rest. From a 12 oz bottle this pours a medium brown color with a big foamy beige head and light lacing. The nose is of caramel malts with a hints of chocolate, nuttiness, light roastiness. The flavor is medium sweet, and again showing the nuts, caramel, an d some chocolate. Light to medium body and mildly sticky. OK, drinkable, and average.

The aroma was much toastier, reminded me a little of roasted nuts and definite caramel. Appearance was a clear, dirt brown color, fairly clear color with decent carbonation. Mouthfeel was very nice, not really bad or good. Flavor is a little nutty, slightly sweet with a decent bitter kick to it. Overall a nice beer that I will follow-up with again!
