COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special release is brewed just for the holidays. For a new approach to a classic favorite, we added cherries to our traditional Chocolate Bock for a sweet, slightly tart note. Aged on a bed of dark cocoa nibs, the malty, chocolaty, and dark fruit flavors create a rich, complex beer perfect for winter. Cheers!

12oz bottle. Aroma is notes of sweet cherries in syrup, with some light chocolate notes. Flavor was like a cherry cordial, bittersweet chocolate notes, some milk chocolate character. It’s what it says it is.

Had to guess what this looks like. The aroma is much more cherry than chocolate. This basically tastes like a cherry cordial, but without the awful texture of the marchiano cherry. Pretty good as a single beer, definitely not sessionable..

Bottle from winter pack into pint glass, deep dark brown color with thin tan head. Aroma of strong cherries, chocolate, cream and roasted malt. Taste is much less cherry then the nose led on; kind of a spritzy chocolate milk taste with notes of caramel, light coffee and earthy hop bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, sweet, malty, effervescent, clean with lingering roast sweetness. Glad the cherry was hugely subdued in taste, better then expected.

It reminded me of a cherry cordial, which I have never been a huge fan of. As part of beer flight it may be nice, but 12oz. was too much for my palate.

Aroma and taste are all chocolate and cherry. Gets a little old after a whole bottle in the same way that eating too much cake gets old -- tiring but still good. Great to share with a special someone for dessert.

The aroma is a distinct cherry, but not too strong. The flavor also is predominately cherry with a chocolate background. There ia a sweet spiciness. Medium-short aftertaste. Overall this is tasty, but could be more full-bodied.

This beer pours a murky deep brown color with a medium tan head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate and cherry. Light to medium body with a sweet cherry cordial flavor with notes of chocolate malt as well. The finish is chocolaty with a slightly artificial cherry aftertaste. Decent overall.

This was a good one. Nice, dark bock with boat loads of chocolate and cherry. Goes down smooth and easy...almost too easy. Only comes in the Sam Adams seasonal pack around here.

Very strong cherry aroma, but almost a bit medicinal. There was also chocolate and molasses in the aroma. Nice dark brown body with a light brown head of small bubbles. Cherry medicine flavor and hints of chocolate along with a bitterness from start to finish. An interesting idea, but not the best execution.

Bottle. Pours dark reddish-brown with a medium tan head. Sweet aroma of malt, cherry and chocolate. Smooth with a syrupy sweet flavor of cherries and milk chocolate. Sweet finish. Tastes like a cherry cordial.
