COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special release is brewed just for the holidays. For a new approach to a classic favorite, we added cherries to our traditional Chocolate Bock for a sweet, slightly tart note. Aged on a bed of dark cocoa nibs, the malty, chocolaty, and dark fruit flavors create a rich, complex beer perfect for winter. Cheers!

Unusual beer I didnt think I would like. However its pretty tastey, not too heavy. Dark almost black color, great aroma and just overall good flavor beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at rrbf. Pours muddy brown with small cream colored head. Nose is sweet cocoa, light cherry flesh and stem, a bit of rum. This tastes very similar to those chocolate cherry cordial candies and I was kinda surprised how much I liked it. Maybe it’s because I had the Chocolate squirrel immediately before.

Pours dark with an aroma of chocolate and cherry. Tastes like its name sake but the palette is disappointing. Other than that its not half bad.

An inevitable beer, I guess, Cherry Chocolate Bock does what it’s supposed to, and nothing else. Tastes like a cherry cordial, with a hop-free fade that is all cherry-fueled tartness. Chocolate comes through on the middle. Not a bad beer, but the flavor could be turned up a little more; you can’t help but want more decadence in such a potentially indulgent brew.

tap (jan 6, 2012) - Pours very dark amber with a small head. The aroma is really dominated by the cherries. It tastes sweet with cherries at the forefront then the chocolate. The sweetness carries into the finish. This medium bodied brew is like drinking a chocolate covered cherry. It’s sweet but not cloying. Good.

On draft at 5 points in Athens. Very Nice dark clear brown pour with not much ring of head. Nice tart cherry and light cocoa roast. Not sweet as much as I thought it would be, but in a good way. Not fake or syrup. I’d drink this again

Draft. Pours a dark reddish brown color with medium light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Aroma was complex sweet cherry and chocolate. Medium to full syrupy sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish. Soft sweet brew.

Dull dark brown. Has a light aroma of hollow malts. Sour cherry character and vaguely chocolatey malts. Bleh...way off what I would want in a beer like this. Not much balance.

Draft at abraxas. Happy hour. Dark brown, scant head. Aroma has a tangy tartness and no depth. The flavors are fruit tart, like a pop tart filling, and it almost tastes like a brown ale gone sour and the mistake is covered up for my calling it cherry. As it warms some mild nestle qwik type cocoa powder comes out.But anyway, it’s drinkable... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
