3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 RespertFTW (115) - - MAR 9, 2013Not much of a beer taste. Seems a little heavy on the artificial flavoring. But...still would make for a good dessert.

Pours dark amber with a off white head. Aroma is cherry, smells like Dr. Pepper. Taste is sweet with some tart cherry. Medium bodied, smooth and almost silky. Enjoyed.

Tap at Stagshead. Pours reddish brown with nice head and nose of chocolate covered cherries. Tastes just like a cherry coke not all that beery. U also get espresso, light leather, and some malt. If I was back in kindergarten this may be my favorite beer.

Draft at the pony bar in NYC. Deep black/purple color. Smells like a bock off the bat. Taste hits you with fruitiness and sugar. I taste the cherry and slight chocolate. Interesting

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Hanuta06 (142) - Washington, USA - FEB 15, 2013
Serving: four ounce sampler from tap at The Beer Junction.
Aroma: light cherry aroma.
Appearance: small, frothy, light-brown, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Dark brown/black body.
Taste: heavily sweet, cherry initial flavor and heavily sweet finish with average duration.
Palate: light body, creamy texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: really interesting taste--it reminded me of a rich, dark-chocolate, cherry-filled candy . . . or cough syrup. I think it would be difficult to finish more than a four ounce sampler due to the heavy sweetness. I would, however, try it again.

Tap at rrbf. Pours muddy brown with small cream colored head. Nose is sweet cocoa, light cherry flesh and stem, a bit of rum. This tastes very similar to those chocolate cherry cordial candies and I was kinda surprised how much I liked it. Maybe it’s because I had the Chocolate squirrel immediately before.

Pours dark with an aroma of chocolate and cherry. Tastes like its name sake but the palette is disappointing. Other than that its not half bad.

An inevitable beer, I guess, Cherry Chocolate Bock does what it’s supposed to, and nothing else. Tastes like a cherry cordial, with a hop-free fade that is all cherry-fueled tartness. Chocolate comes through on the middle. Not a bad beer, but the flavor could be turned up a little more; you can’t help but want more decadence in such a potentially indulgent brew.
