This special release is brewed just for the holidays. For a new approach to a classic favorite, we added cherries to our traditional Chocolate Bock for a sweet, slightly tart note. Aged on a bed of dark cocoa nibs, the malty, chocolaty, and dark fruit flavors create a rich, complex beer perfect for winter. Cheers!

Pours a deep near black with a deep brown tan. Aroma of maraschino cherries. Don't really get the chocolate in the aroma. The taste yields the chocolate in a big way. Cherries up front followed by deep rich cocoa. Good mouthfeel, nice finish. Not overly sweet. Very satisfying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Best before March of 2014.
Appearance: This might be the most beautiful shade of garnet that Iíve ever seen. Perfect clarity with an opaque center. The brilliant and deep garnet shows on the edges. The head is a frothy tan with good retention. Wow.
Aroma: This smells like a chocolate covered cherry with some maltiness. Wow.
Taste: This drinks about as perfect as this style could have gone. Holy cow. Chocolate covered cherries with a mild bock sweetness. Nothing is cloying, this is prominent chocolate and cherry, but no artificial flavors. Just a very nice beer.
Palate: Medium bodied with mild carbonation.
Overall: I am blown away with how good this is. When Sam is on they are on. The flavors go so well together and are balanced very nicely. This is something I would love to have in a 12 pack of to enjoy every once in a while through Winter.

Poured from a draft into a pint glass at the San Diego Brewing Company. Black with a slight tinge of red (cherry). Inch of head. Nice amount of dark lacing on the top. Nice looking film on the sides that lasted throughout. Smelled of chocolate malts with cherry fruits. Reminded me of Ben and Jerryís Cherry Garcia. Tasted just like the nose, only better. Nice and smooth chocolate malts with that cherry backbone. Basically a Cherry Garcia. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Smooth, long finish. I loved this beer. I originally had the look a 4.5, but dropped it down after some consideration. Iím a bit of a Sam Adams homer but this may have been the best I tried.

12oz bottle from winter seasonal box. Pours black with creamy beige head. Smells like a chocolate covered cherry. Smooth chocolate flavor with tart cherry notes. Full creamy mouthfeel. I love their original Chocolate Bock, and this is an interesting and flavorful twist.

An excellent replacement to the original chocolate bock it is the sole reason why i wait to drink this one last in the winter variety pack. Nice dark brown color average head and all around smoothness. Addictive to drink all day long especially winter. So soothing it is unreal ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Dark and low foam on the pour. Immediate taste of chocolate covered cherries. Some caramel and sugars, along with a heavy malts. This is a sipper and not to be consumed in quantity.
