COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special release is brewed just for the holidays. For a new approach to a classic favorite, we added cherries to our traditional Chocolate Bock for a sweet, slightly tart note. Aged on a bed of dark cocoa nibs, the malty, chocolaty, and dark fruit flavors create a rich, complex beer perfect for winter. Cheers!

12 oz bottle from the winter variety pack. Aroma is maraschino cherries, chocolate, roasted malt. Pours dark brown with red highlights and a one finger beige head that falls fairly fast. Taste is sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Along with the chocolate and cherries, I get toasted marshmallow, licorice, caramel. Mouthfeel is creamy, body medium. Dessert in a glass.

On draught at the International Great Beer Expo in Uniondale. Pours a clear deep brown that still allows light to pass through with a tan head. Pleasant aroma of cherries and chocolate. The flavor is black cherries with chocolate and a bit of caramel. Definitely a sweeter beer, which I enjoy. Medium bodied. An enjoyable beer for me.

Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet cherry candy aroma with light chocolate. The flavor is like one of those fake cherry filled chocolates. Completely a gimmick beer. I recognize that this isn’t technically a "good beer", but damn it if I didn’t really like it for some reason. Maybe I was just in the holiday spirit, but it really rubbed me the right way.

Dark coffee colored pour. Big light tan colored head. Plenty of lacing. Big cherry aroma with some chocolate notes lingering behind. There is some notes of malt peeking through as well. Big chocolate taste. Malty. Not much cherry, but you can tell they are in there. Very nice.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thin light brown head. Aroma of very strong cherries, roasted malt, alcohol, nuts, earth and a touch of alcohol - very good. Medium-bodied; Rich chocolate and cherry flavour and a lot of roasted malt with a super strong earthy and chocolate malt flavour that persists throughout. Aftertaste shows a very sweet chocolate and especially cherry flavour with a nice robust flavour and a good complexity and some subtle spices. Overall, a very nice and complex beer with a lot of cherries and roasted malt flavours coupled with some chocolate and very light spices. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle pulled from a twelve pack sampler purchased from Stop & Shop (Giant) in Newtown, Connecticut sampled at my brother-in-law’s house in Milton, Connecticut on 27-November-2013.

12oz bottle into a stemmed tulip. Pours a super dark mocha black with a tan head that lingers around and subsides into multiple directions. Aroma is sweet cherry, cherry coke, sweet candy, sweet chocolate and faint malts. Taste is cherry, nice bountiful cherries ready to enjoy, the soda jolt as well. The fruit dominates the beer really, but is enjoyable as it does not burn the pallate too much with the bock pestering in the backbone. Carbination is mild and fullfiling, mouthfeel is medium and striaght through. I thought this one would dull fast but it maintains the cherry presence nicely, perfect for the mix pack and the holidays. Nice.

Had to guess what this looks like. The aroma is much more cherry than chocolate. This basically tastes like a cherry cordial, but without the awful texture of the marchiano cherry. Pretty good as a single beer, definitely not sessionable..

Very good beer. NIce to drink, smell and look to. Cherry smalls and creamy unflitered features all the time.
