Bottled from Walmart. Super deep ruby in color. Nose is strong on the cherry with a nice bit of roastiness in there as well. Full bodied up front. Good balance of cherry and roasted malts. Tastes like a cherry stout more than a bock. Pretty tasty. Nice subtle cheery chocolate aftertaste.

Hits its target flavor profile well, but I’m not the biggest fan of the really sweet cherry thing going on. There’s definitely something to be said for making a dessert-like bock, though, and I’ll give BBC props on a job well done.

On tap at Cloverleaf. Cherry Coke anyone? Pours a dark color with an off white foam head. Aroma of cherry and chocolate. Sweet caramel taste with notes of cherry, some chocolate on the back end. It melds together like Cherry Coke or perhaps Dr. Pepper.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at international Beer Fest 2011. The aroma is almost entirely cherry and chocolate, like a cordial. The appearance is an attractive deep brown/red, slightly translucent, cream-colored head. The flavor is chocolate, cherry, caramel, almost all malt. The finish has a light pine neddle bitterness. Medium/thick in body. Pretty good.

Tap, Zeppelin Cafe- Louisville. Aroma of chocolate and coffee with light cherry. Appearance is dark brown/red with tan head. Flavor matches the nose, but with more of a cherry presence in the finish. Palate is very bubbly and chewy. Satisfying.

Dark pour with a thin thin head. Aroma is toasty with hints of cherry and espresso. Dry body. Chocolate and
Dark fruit. Decent but far from mind blowing

Serving: four ounce sampler from tap at The Beer Junction.
Aroma: light cherry aroma.
Appearance: small, frothy, light-brown, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Dark brown/black body.
Taste: heavily sweet, cherry initial flavor and heavily sweet finish with average duration.
Palate: light body, creamy texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: really interesting taste--it reminded me of a rich, dark-chocolate, cherry-filled candy . . . or cough syrup. I think it would be difficult to finish more than a four ounce sampler due to the heavy sweetness. I would, however, try it again.

Not much of a beer taste. Seems a little heavy on the artificial flavoring. But...still would make for a good dessert.

On tap at Blue Dog in Chalfont, PA. Are you sure this wasn't a Cherry Coke? My gateway beer was Sam Adams Cherry Wheat so I have a soft spot for this one, but I can understand why people would hate this beer. Incredibly sweet, more soda-like than anything.
