3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
An inevitable beer, I guess, Cherry Chocolate Bock does what itís supposed to, and nothing else. Tastes like a cherry cordial, with a hop-free fade that is all cherry-fueled tartness. Chocolate comes through on the middle. Not a bad beer, but the flavor could be turned up a little more; you canít help but want more decadence in such a potentially indulgent brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On draft at Dan's. Pours a dark rubyish brown with no head pen lace to speak of. Looks like a flat soda. The aroma is magical. There is such a wonderful complexity of chocolate, roastyness, and a dominance of cherry. The smell is comparable to a cherry cordial. Amazing. The flavor isn't as good. There is an awkward struggle between the chocolate, cherry and the sweet bock nature of the beer. The mouth feel is good, but the awkwardness in the flavor doesn't help.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled from Walmart. Super deep ruby in color. Nose is strong on the cherry with a nice bit of roastiness in there as well. Full bodied up front. Good balance of cherry and roasted malts. Tastes like a cherry stout more than a bock. Pretty tasty. Nice subtle cheery chocolate aftertaste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle: Aroma is caramel, chocolate, tart cherries. and a scent of a lightly grassy hop. Appearance is a dark black with a medium tan head that quickly diminishes. Taste is actually really nice the cherry and chocolate mix well together. Malt backing in the finish makes that palate enjoyable and refreshing. Overall, Pretty darn good stuff from Sam Adams. Cheers!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Aroma is notes of sweet cherries in syrup, with some light chocolate notes. Flavor was like a cherry cordial, bittersweet chocolate notes, some milk chocolate character. Itís what it says it is.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had to guess what this looks like. The aroma is much more cherry than chocolate. This basically tastes like a cherry cordial, but without the awful texture of the marchiano cherry. Pretty good as a single beer, definitely not sessionable..

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from winter pack into pint glass, deep dark brown color with thin tan head. Aroma of strong cherries, chocolate, cream and roasted malt. Taste is much less cherry then the nose led on; kind of a spritzy chocolate milk taste with notes of caramel, light coffee and earthy hop bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, sweet, malty, effervescent, clean with lingering roast sweetness. Glad the cherry was hugely subdued in taste, better then expected.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
It reminded me of a cherry cordial, which I have never been a huge fan of. As part of beer flight it may be nice, but 12oz. was too much for my palate.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma and taste are all chocolate and cherry. Gets a little old after a whole bottle in the same way that eating too much cake gets old -- tiring but still good. Great to share with a special someone for dessert.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is a distinct cherry, but not too strong. The flavor also is predominately cherry with a chocolate background. There ia a sweet spiciness. Medium-short aftertaste. Overall this is tasty, but could be more full-bodied.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer pours a murky deep brown color with a medium tan head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate and cherry. Light to medium body with a sweet cherry cordial flavor with notes of chocolate malt as well. The finish is chocolaty with a slightly artificial cherry aftertaste. Decent overall.
