Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

I drank this from a bottle. This a great beer but its not a great pour or have a good head. The aroma is very strong of cherries. Its taste very much like cherries, I like having this beer as a chaser after something strong, but its not great after food.

There’s a reason why "cherry" is the biggest word on the bottle. Both aroma and flavor present a strong cherry presence. The wheat is there, but is subordinate to the cherry. Drinkable, enjoyable, but not a beer drinker’s beer.

Bronzed beer with 1/2" frothy head. Cherry cordial aroma is quite enticing, but mostly one -note pitch. Cherry wheat flavor, that again, holds up well and is enjoyable. Sweet cherry body with traces of bitterness. Drinkable, refreshing, flavorful. Slight sour cherry wheat finish. An excellent, and absolutely underrated, fruit beer.

Very strong cherry up front, both in the nose and mouth...it is what it is...

Amber color pour with an off-white head. Smooth drink but immediately overpowered by the artificial cherry flavor. I found that you really can’t taste anything else, which really turned me off.

A very smooth beer, with incredible cherry flavor. So much cherry, you almost cannot find the wheat flavor. Anyone could drink this beer, but a beer-loving purist will not find it too pleasing.

This beer is a girl’s dream. Hazy golden color. The potent cherry aroma helps deliver the sweetness character of the beer. Granted, I didn’t know whether I was drinking Cherry Wheat or cherry flavored cough syrup sometimes, but overall a decent and luscious beer.
