COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Poured this Cherry Wheat Beer from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Poured a hazy golden color, produced a small white head, average retention and an ample amount of lacing was left on the glass. The aroma consisted of soft wheat and maraschino cherries.- Aroma is outstanding. Light in body, the foundation contained malted wheat and tart cherries. For a fruit beer, crisp, refreshing and a nice session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As someone who has drunk many a bad brew, I have NEVER tasted a beer as bad as Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. I was not expecting much, Mr. Koch, but you and the people that you contracted to make this beer should be forced to drink every 1/2 barrel, 1/6 barrel, and every case of this beer until it has been depleted. You most likely will not be able to do so without hating yourself, but you will have don...e the world and yourselves a favor in doing so because this beer is nothing to take pride in. It’s a beer that takes advantage of those who do not know what good beer is because it has "flavor." Maraschino cherry extract does not lend itself to flavor that is desirable, in fact, it lends itself to sucky flavor. You’re trying to front as if you’re the little guy. There’s nothing wrong with being the little guy, but if that’s what you want to be, stop making this beer. This is nothing to take pride in, but something to be ashamed of for sure.

Smells like Cherry Coke, or maybe cough syrup. Pours a hazy golden color with sediment floating around. Tastes slightly sweet but not as much as the odor would suggest. Finishes with a maraschino cherry flavor.

I had this at Global Brew. I thought this was pretty good. I could taste cherry. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Distinct cherry nose, average carbonation. Slightly sweet cherry is predominant flavor, with subdued SA base of toasted caramel and hops. Slightly acidic finish. Better rendering than the SA Cranberry, but not as tasty as SA Blueberry, which is my favorite SA fruit beer. (So far.)

From a bottle (one more past enjoy by date). Golden amber - mostly clear. Aroma is candied cherries and a funky mustiness. Taste is basically like drinking a wheat beer with a Luden’s cherry cough drop in your mouth. Mouthfeel had a bit of foaminess to it that I didn’t enjoy. Overall - OK for a fruit flavored beer; went down fairly easily for me.

12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold. Aroma: Sweet cherry candy. Reminds me of these doughnuts I had one time. Points for reminding me of doughnuts. Appearance: Translucent hazy yellow-orange. Creamy looking head that lingers a little bit. Mild-moderate lacing. Taste: Looooooooots of sweet cherries at first, and then strong, sweetish wheat and malt. Like jam on bread. Like jelly filled doughnuts. Palate: Medium body. Tickles; it’s pretty fizzy. Flavors linger a little bit. Somewhat creamy. Overall: Probably one of my favorite fruit beers so far. Really delightful; it reminds me of pastries and doughnuts and stuff. And being a fan of foods that are horrible for you, I really enjoyed it.

Pours to a cloudy yellow-orange with a smallish head but good bubbly lacing. Aroma of wheat and cherries, as one might expect. Flavor is cherries at first, but not for long. The finish has a bit of malt, and then it disappears rapidly as well. I was expecting this to be a little more refreshing than it actually was. It doesn’t have any really bad or really great notes - just an average fruity beer.

Bottle. Some wheat and cherry in there, nothing to special here, but not bad.

12oz bottle. Pours cloudy gold/orange with a small white head. Aroma is Ludens cherry and cotton candy. Taste is sweet cherry and grain. Palate is very thin and strange and kind of feels funny on my teeth. Hits the mark on cherry, but that’s about it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
