Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Light orange pour with a white head. Light malty aroma with some cherry. Flavor is also light with an artificial tasting cherry flavor. Light and easy to drink. Not great but decent.

Deep shade of red with the aroma of cherries, raspberries, and blackberries. There’s a lot of cherry flavor with malt, but some cherry syrup flavor interferes with any fresh taste. Can be refreshing ice cold, but once it warms up, it’s too sugary sweet.

its a decent beer, could use a more defined cheery flavor, it has an ’ok’ drinkability

Light color, light flavor with a little bit of medicinal cherry flavoring. Luckily the cherry isn’t overpowering. It isn’t anything special, but it isn’t terrible.

Golden Brown. A strong cherry aroma. An obvious Cherry taste, not just a hint either. A nice ivory head.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Strong cherry juice aroma with not much else coming out. Flavor is also of tart cherry juice with not much else. Overall not very good.

This wheat beer is light in color, not cloudy or any red hues to represent the cherry flavor. With a small to medium sized head, this pours out smoothly from the bottle. It has a strong, fruity flavor that hits your nose as soon as you put it up to the glass. A friend described it to that of the fruit candy canes at Christmas time. At first you taste a standard ale, but as the beer works throughout your palate a sweet cherry flavor builds up to the aftertaste, but not overpowering. This beer proves to be delicious with a smooth sweetness to someone who enjoys fruit beers and lambics.

12 oz bottle poured into a clear pint glass. Thin white head with little lacing. The smell is an artificial cherry and the taste is a generic wheat with the artificial cherry being forced. Not a terrible beer, but nothing noteworthy to mention.
