Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

12oz bottle. Poured a very light golden brown with a slight pink tint. Produced a white head which disappeared quickly leaving small lacing. Smell of sweet malts and cherries are dominate. Taste of cherries were present but not as much as I expected. Some malts/yeast. Light medium bodied with lots of carbonation that works for this beer.

12oz bottle. Pours orange with a frothy white head. Very heavy carbonation. Aroma is of artificial cherries, dishwater, wheat, and malt. Taste is horrid artificial cherry flavor, weak malt, yeast, and ass. Fizzy, watery as hell mouthfeel. Horrible, bitter after taste. Horrid crap. Offensive to the taste. Would have been a drain pour if I had paid for it.

Bottle. Extremely strong cherry aroma. Hazy dark orange body, small white head. Flavor is overwhelming cherry, and sweet. Similar to cherry soda pop. Not my style.

med-light golden brown, with a touch of cloudyness. has a nice cherry aroma. starts ok, somewhat smooth and not very distinctive. The mouthful is decent, mellow with a moderate amount of flavor. The finish is not too good, sort of a bad fake cherry flavor riding on an otherwise decent beer. I will not be recommending this one.

Bottle. Pours a orange-gold color with a thin beige head. Taste is of wheat, yeast and cherries. Aroma is the same. The first sip was all right, but each sip afterwards was kind of bad. The body is rather thin and is pretty watery. Felt too artificial, and for the price it is not that good of a brew.

An ok beer it was a wheat beer with a not too good cherry aftertaste. It reminded me a lil of coughsyrup

This sucker tastes like and has the consistency of the cherry cough syrup I was forced to consume as a child. Honey golden color with a reddish tint and no head to speak of. Smells just like cough syrup as well. The cherry flavor is very cloying in this one. Not something I want to drink again.

Tried in the Sam Adams multi pack, pours a golden color with a hint of red. The nose is sweet and cherry like, as is the light flavor. A bit ewak in every way, but not horrible. What can I say, I have a major sweet tooth.
