Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

12oz bottle. Aroma is almost entirely sweet cherries, maybe a hint of wheat? Golden colored, decent head. Taste is sweet cherries, a little sharp wheatiness, and some herbal and earthy hops. The cherries are first and foremost, however. Kind of soapy at the finish. Seems like the cherry flavor is sweet and one-dimensional, almost like a syrup. Not something I will seek out in the future, but not a bad beer, just not ones that jives with my taste for fruit beers.

Pours hazy orange with a nice aroma of cherries. Flavor is light malt, grainy with a much milder cherry flavor than I was expecting.

12oz bottle. Pours an off-white head with pale amber body. Smells like cherries. Tastes like cherries. Not impressive tho.

Bottle pour into Stella glass. Pours a reddish orange with medium white head. Definite aroma of cherry, not as much in the flavor. Malt, yeast, slight wheat. Lacing is okay. Better initial flavor, less at finish. Somewhat dry finish and less distinct flavoring. Poured another one Jan. 17. To me the aroma has a strong "cherry flavored medicine" smell to it. I would not purchase again. This may be my first beer to give the last three of the 6-pack away. My rating is given for the fruit category it falls within

[1723-20080924] 12floz bottle. Juicy cherry cordial aroma has a mild leafy yeast background. Slightly hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Mainly grainy malt flavour with some light wheat and lots of cherry mid-tones. Medium body. Nice, drinkable.

12oz Bottle: Slighly cloudy, orange amber in color with a decent white head. Nice lacing rings the glass as the head falls away. Aroma reminds me of a Ludens cherry cough drop, much candy cherry here. Sweet cherry flavor with a wheaty tang, some hints of lemon zest and a bit of bite in the finish. thin almost watery mouthfeel. Not much to it really, pretty average stuff.

12oz bottle. Poured a very light golden brown with a slight pink tint. Produced a white head which disappeared quickly leaving small lacing. Smell of sweet malts and cherries are dominate. Taste of cherries were present but not as much as I expected. Some malts/yeast. Light medium bodied with lots of carbonation that works for this beer.

12oz bottle. Pours orange with a frothy white head. Very heavy carbonation. Aroma is of artificial cherries, dishwater, wheat, and malt. Taste is horrid artificial cherry flavor, weak malt, yeast, and ass. Fizzy, watery as hell mouthfeel. Horrible, bitter after taste. Horrid crap. Offensive to the taste. Would have been a drain pour if I had paid for it.
