COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

The cherry was prominent almost to the point of rudeness. I had to try hard to discern any wheatiness out of it...and I found it a bit hard to finish the glass without spoiling my palate.

This is a very good wheat beer. It is perfect for summertime. I would only drink one or two before moving on to something a little less sweet

Nice cherry aroma, slightly cloudy slightly reddish appearance with a decent head. Fairly balanced flavor but a bit more to the sweet side. Would prefer if it were a bit thicker/richer, but it’s pretty good for something so commonly available.

Hints of Cherry in the aroma. Nice reddish-brown in color with good head. Pretty strong cherry and sweet flavor finishing smoothly. Good crisp mouthfeel of a wheat beer. A very different beer not for everyone, especially if you don’t like Cherries.

Sweet/sour cherry aroma and taste, with a little bit of wheat malt peeking through. Accent is more on sweet than sour, by a long shot. Fizzy palate and body. Cherry flavor tastes fake. This is a very girly beer.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2004 Rerate On tap at Atlanta Airport - Sweet artificial aroma of cherries; mouthfeel - slightly thin, Decent dark golden appearance - good head. Cherry is only prominent flavor, tad too much carbonation. Original 2.8 Smooth drinking hut kind of had a cough syrup taste to it - too artificial - the cherry flavor was not subtle at all. No real sense that this was a wheat beer- no cloudiness etc.

Definitely not my favorite beer, or even my favorite SA. Has a slightly sour medicinal quality to the cherry in both the aroma and flavor. Not much to back it up. I’m starting the think that wheat beers just weren’t meant to be fruit flavored.

A pretty damn good brew... been a while since i’ve had it, although I dont think the cherry is really quite as noticable as you would think it should be... but pretty yummy.

Small head that disappears in a few moments. Aroma of cherries only, no hops, malts or anything else. Lightly carbonated with a very slight taste of cherries. But the worst wasyet to come! The aftertaste was terrible! Wasn’t bad yeast, hops or spoiled beer. Very bad taste. Will not purchase this again!
