A very god Wheat brew. A creamy head and a hint of cherry makes this another fine brew from Sam adams

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
This stuff is why some beer geeks are turned off by fruit beers. Sickly sweet aroma, and a cloying aftertaste that makes you go ’Gaack’. The wheat ’base’ seems too weak to carry the cherry syrup or whatever they use to make it.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours hazy copper with large off-white head. Cherry syrup aroma dominates any other aromatics. Reminiscent of cherry cough syrup, cherry coke, or the cherry syrup used in milkshakes. Smooth almost creamy mouthfeel. Surprisingly mild flavor in all respects: tinge of cherry syrup, mild clean malt, and lingering lightly sweet cherryish finish.

The first one you say ... nice hint of cherry. It gets old fast.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Interesting brew here if you’re just looking for something different. Tastes exactly like you think it would - cherry cherry cherry. The one thing I didn’t like about this brew was I noticed on the label that cherry flavoring is added AFTER the brew process although it is brewed with cherries - still, that defeats the purpose of a good brew

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A golden amber body is topped with little head, however a fair amount of lace is left behind. The aroma is full of sweet mirachino cherries with a slight hoppiness underneath. the flavor starts out similar to cherry soda, however the malt and hops soon show through.

My girlfriend loves this. The cherries are very pronounced. I remember hearing about this in my pre-beer days and thought it sounded interesting. If it’s one of those terribly uninspired package stores with minimal selection, I’ll most likely opt for this. As much as people knock Sam Adams, they continue to make good products. My only problem with this is that it fills you up really fast, so it’s not great with dinner or when you’d like to toss a couple back with the pals.

On a hot day, the overpowering cherry hits the spot. Very dry with a crisp finish. It’s not as bad as you’d think.
