Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

An excellent substitute for cherry Nyquil. I like to taste the hops, malt, and barley more than the fruit. The cherries should be barely noticeable in the finish. Close to undrinkable for me.

Auburn color with a thin light beige head. Very strong cherry aroma. There was just too much cherry in the flavor making it almost sickeningly sweet. It doesn’t even taste like cherries, more like the cherry flavoring they use to make popsicles or something. I honestly didn’t bother finishing the bottle. This wasn’t horrible, but they really need to tone down the cherry or balance it better with more malt.

The first couple of drinks were pretty good, but after a few the taste begins to fade. Finishes with an artifical cherry taste. Didn’t find much wheat, but an abundance of cherries.

Chick’s dig this wheat beer and I wish I could to but it just is to sweet for me.This is the first Boston Beer Company effort that has dissappointed so I’ll cut them some slack

Very sweet and filled with loads of citrus juices. The bouquet was very scintillating and the color was inviting. Yet, I must be honest the taste was too fruity for my overall liking. Was a nice attribute to the hot fire I was sipping this in front of, but my taste buds would not immediately lend me to take part of a mulligan.

The cherry was prominent almost to the point of rudeness. I had to try hard to discern any wheatiness out of it...and I found it a bit hard to finish the glass without spoiling my palate.

This is a very good wheat beer. It is perfect for summertime. I would only drink one or two before moving on to something a little less sweet

Nice cherry aroma, slightly cloudy slightly reddish appearance with a decent head. Fairly balanced flavor but a bit more to the sweet side. Would prefer if it were a bit thicker/richer, but it’s pretty good for something so commonly available.

Hints of Cherry in the aroma. Nice reddish-brown in color with good head. Pretty strong cherry and sweet flavor finishing smoothly. Good crisp mouthfeel of a wheat beer. A very different beer not for everyone, especially if you don’t like Cherries.
