COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

This is not a good beer. If you want to drink a fruit beer, stick with the belgian stuff and don’t waste your money on this.

Smells great, looks great, tastes good, but I can only stand one or two before getting sick of it. Also, it’s definetly a slow sipping, by itself kind of beer. But definetly worth a try.

Good tasting beer, but can only drink one or two before getting sick of the cherry taste. When you first open it up take a sniff. Smells great.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2003 The cherry flavor is artificial tasting, although smells nice. The beer is weak. A possible good beer to give to a Budcoorsmillerist who wants to experiment.

My dad thinks this stuff is the greatest creation in history. I like most wheat beers a lot but this doesn’t do much for me. Smells magnificent. It’s just weak and after one I don’t want another.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2007 First off, I’m rating this ’in its class’ meaning that my rating for this is probably going to be higher than it actually stacks up in my preference heirarchy. Smells like cherry cake. Pinky-amber with cascading head, which fades to a raft of shaving cream-consistancy foam. Flavor isn’t as sweet as it smells. Smooth, tart, clean. High marks.

i admit this beer is somewhat sweet, but is still quite enjoyable. i can drink a 6-pack of it, something of which i cannot say of other fruit beers.

Not the best fruit beer in the world, but still sweet and satisfying.
