i thought it was definitely a new experience and worth trying. The biggest issue is the after-taste is distintively different from the original taste. This is because of the cherry flavor they add. It would be a better beer if they didnt add flavor after fermentation. It creates a definite inconsistency that others have also made note of.

No negative qualities, just not tasty enough. Strong scent of black cherries had me anticipating a strong cherry taste. Unfortunately, the cherry flavor seems to clash with the natural flavor of a wheat beer leaving just a hint of cherry. Not bad, but could be better. Head is almost non-existent.

Refreshing cherry taste, not bad on a hot night, overall, nothing too impressive. Left a weird feeling in my mouth about 10 seconds after i took a sip. Wasn’t pleasant so i just took sips more often.

This beer rocks!! Great sweet flavor and goes down very easy. Not a beer for someone who wants a bitter, rich beer.

Sam Adams’s old man was the only brewer in Boston that could brew any kind of good brew back in the late 1700’s. Look it up in your history books folks, seriously. Sam Adams was an excellent lawyer and patriot, but a TERRIBLE BREWER at practice. His old man was the only Adams in Boston at the time worth the effort. Ahh, well. This is the best cough medicine ever, ’cept for my old man’s liquor cabinet...!

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2003 Draught: Fairly potent aroma of cherries, yet not really overpowering. Decent enough amber color, and a bit cloudy. The taste has a good wheat backbone, with the cherries more than fairly evident. A little more cherry, and it would be too much. Very good, but I can't drink too many of them.

A decent beer. The cherry essence has too much of a ’Robitussin’ flavor to it. From what I’ve seen, the sweetness appeals to the ladies.
