| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2009 A frosty dark yellow appearance...maybe light orange. Lots of soapy-looking lace. Acxtually looks really good.
The smell is a smack in the face of cherry, closer to black cherry. Quite pleasant. Combination with the wheat makes a nice candy aroma. The wheat adds a dry maltiness.
The taste is a SweetTart-like candy flavor. It has an unusual dry tartness that is pleasant although juuust on the border of being too sweet. Would go well with a bitter chcolate. Minor white wine flavor.
It’s a bit milky, but not thick. Feels like a smoothie. This one is pretty nice overall. Nice balance; on the edge of over-sweetness. But a good summery wheat beer overall. ManvsCity (95), Redmond, Washington, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 30, 2009 On tap at JFK airport Sam Adams lounge. Pours a decent thick near-white head, but there’s a red stain down the middle where the waitress has deposited a marchiano cherry to "enhance" the cherry aroma and flavor. Ambience is everything, and in the airport you take what you can find. That aroma reminded me mostly of a Shirley Temple. While the beer was ok for a mild yellow brew, the marinated cherry didn’t much improve it. DarkSong (106), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a touch of orange with a large white head. It has a strong aroma of cherries. Tastes of cherries, honey, wheat and cereal. This is a ok beer but doesn’t strike me as anything too special. Niko100 (105), New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2009 Amber color; Medium body; Aroma and flavor mainly of cherries, wheat and spice; The cherry aroma is quite good; Some here mentioned it tastes like cough syrup - it does; Good for what it is, but for me it’s a novelty brew. bsp77 (202), Minnesota, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 28, 2009 Updated: Oct 29, 2009Poured from bottle into Summit Pint glass. Cloudy, pale orange with very thin head. Looks more like unfiltered juice. Sweet maraschino cherries is about all I smell. Maybe slight wheat malt. One dimensional but smells good. Not surprisingly, it tastes like an American Wheat with cherry. Slightly tart but the sweetness overcomes it, especially at the end. Artificial tasting and cloying. Moderately high carbonation, light body with a spritzy feel. I wish it was drier. A little too sweet and artificial to be truly drinkable. If real Michigan cherries were used, why does it remind me of maraschinos? Not really bad, but not interested in having it again. Sam Adams worst beer, although I never tried the infamous Triple Bock. vacantskies (81), Spokane, Washington, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Hazy, blonde copper pour into thick, white pillowy head that slowly melts down the glass into sticky lacing as carbonated bubbles rise into a pool of foam. Appearance in the glass is almost amber until held up to the light. Pleasant aroma of ripened cherries with hint of piney hops and doughy biscuit. Initial flavor of malted wheat bread and tart cherries quickly fading to sweet honey and apricot-orange citrus with a lingering toasted malty wheat finish.
