Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Cherry flavor is not too strong, has a slight bitterness to it. The smell is good, but its not too crisp and its kind of syrupy. I only think I could drink one at a time.

Bottle Pour. Strong cherry flavor, but does not overwhelm the palate. Nice beer to kick back and sip and enjoy. Not something I would drink all the time, but it’s a beer I’ve wanted to try for a while, and finaly saw in in the store. Is it a beer I would buy again? Sure, but it has to be when I’m in the mood for something different, because it is a different flavor, but at least it has a nice crisp, clean finish.

On tap at local bar. Pours golden with a white head. Smells like cherry cough syrup. Strong sweet cherry taste. You could drink one or two, but that’s about it.

Bottle pour-my house. A very enjoyable summer brew. The most distinguishing characteristic is the aroma, in which the cherries play a major role. Good to mix in during session drinking.

Tawny coppery gold pour with a great head. Aroma is strong with an almost artificial cherry smell that hits the nose right off - coff syrup or vending machine cherry candies. But after a couple of swigs it passes and takes on a cherry / caramel character. Delicious flavor - cherry and malty sweetness balanced against wheat bitterness and maybe a trace of hops. Not a big fan of fruity brews but this one is yummy.

I tasted a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat for the first time and I was hooked. First off I have to say I am a fan of fruit beers, this one blows them all away. The aroma is a strong tang of cherry and yeast. First sip is amazing, a burst of cherry along with the yeasty malty traditional beer taste. This is a great Sam Adams beer, it has amazing taste and isn’t as hop fortified as all the other Sam Adams beers usually are. This is an A +.
