Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Definitely can taste the cherry in this beer. The flavor was not to my liking. A little too sweet for a beer in my opinion.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of another friend at a beer tasting. Pours a nice muted hazy amberish color with a decent white head. Aroma is largely cherries up front. Tast is similar, more muted sour cherries (Better than a sticky sweet mess) with some nice wheaty malt compliments. Finishes smooth and clean. I like the fact that this is not overly sweet and really hits the sourness head on.

Ahhh, Sam Adams Cherry Wheat... For a dude who loves cherries, this is the stuff....practically a dessert in itself! The strong cherry aroma really grooves with the olfactories...and the non-sweet-yet-very-cherry taste lingers in a very good way...I could sometimes feel myself taste it the next day at work - more of a strong, good memory but still... One thing - this stuff is only good fresh...I’ve had some Cherry Wheat that had been sitting around for many months, and had gotten really bad...same with all Sam Adams beers I’ve tried - only really good when relatively fresh - they don’t age too well at all!

Strong cherry aroma, which I personally enjoyed. Flavor of some sweet and some tart of cherries and wheats. Went down smooth, very drinkable.

Has settled down to a thin head. Light straw color. Smells of cherries (duh) maybe a slight note of honey. Slightly acidic and warming with a slight malty and cherry flavor. Dry-ish finish with slightly sticky cherries.Light to medium body feel. Not a beer would choose to drink regularly.

Smells of sticky cherries and little else. Tastes of wheat and lots of cherry, almost a little too sweet. Not too bad though.

Pours a clear golden color with a thin head. Aroma is extremely strong with cherries and syrupy sweet--like a cherry Slurpee. Flavor is more muted, but cherry is still very noticeable. Some wheat and biscuit malt notes, but they are overpowered by the cherries. Mouthfeel is watery. Refreshing enough, I suppose, but the cherries are just too overpowering to make this anything more than a novelty beer.
