Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Bottle: Poured a dirty brown color with a very thin head. Strong hints of cherries and i believe cream. Taste pretty much matches the scent. Lots of cherries and a very small hint of alcohol.

HAzy amber pour with off white head. Cherry aroma. Bubble gum, cherry, wheat and hops. This was way better than I anticipated

12oz bottle: Ruby to orange colored pour with a nice, thick ivory head. The nose lets you know cherries are the dominant note here, almost bordering on medicinal at times. The sweet cherries also dominate the wheaty body, that also offers soft notes of honey. The cherries are enjoyable, but kind of one dimensional. I would drink this beer from time to time, but one bottle is more than enough for me in one sitting.

Bottle. Rusty golden pour with minimal off-white head. Smells very strongly of cherries. Crisp, carbonated, cherry flavor with wheat malt aftertaste. Crisp. Decent summer brew, would drink again.

Pours a golden yellow with a white head and smells strongly of cherries. Taste is reminiscent of a cherry cordial. Different and refreshing beer, but overall nothing too special.

pours a somewhat cloudy dark yellow with a two finger fluffy white head. aroma is some nice cherries and a touch of wheat malt. has a light to medium body with descent lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma with a little more wheat coming out at the end. it is a little flat but creamy at the same time. not bad i really like the cherries. it also has a touch of hops that show through in the flavor, and a little sediment floating around.

On draft at Miller’s Ale House. This beer arrived in a frosted glass with a tiny white head that disappeared so fast, I’m surprised any made it to my table. The color is an intriguing gold/amber hybrid. Cherries are apparent on the nose. More prominent artificial cherry flavor in the forefront and back with very lite wheat and a crisp aftertaste. Other flavors include straw, Jolly Rancher, Twizzler, and an aftertaste of Lucky Charms cereal. Highly carbonated and medium-bodied. The cherries are tart and almost refreshing if they didn’t taste so fake; this is a decent beer at best.
