Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Bottle pour. Tons of carbonation at the bottle opening. Pours amber with a fizzy white head with some lacing and only partial deterioration. Light malt, cookie, wheat aroma and some grapefruit/orange and TONS of cherry. Heavy sweetness up front with a sweet dry finish. Watery. I wrote these notes down a few days ago, but i have boosted my rating a bit because a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat sounds real good right now in all this heat!

Horrible. Amost undrinkable. Tastes completely artificial. I will never buy this again, despite being a fan of most of the other Samuel Adams products.

Pours golden with an average white head. Nose is fake cherries. Flavor is also fake cherries and a bit of wheat. The fake cherry flavor is slightly subdued from how I remembered it, or perhaps I have a cold. When you have a mix-pack, this is the beer you trick someone else into drinking.

Cherry on the front end, with a clean finish, this is a lovely smoky brew for those who enjoy the fruity notes.

Bottle. Golden amber with a bit of a reddish tint and an off-white head. Cherry aroma with a bit of wheat. Fake cherry flavor with a bit of wheat behind it. Medium body. Fairly refreshing. LIngering fake cherry (but not that bad).

It smells like fake cherries but it doesn’t look aweful. Tastes kinda like a someone took a macro light beer and poured fake cherry juice in it. I regret trying this. Nice one Sam Adams....I can’t finish this.

Cherry aroma is really present right after pouring. Nice! Cloudy amber in appearance. Really mellow flavor with a hint of sweetness. Not a bad beer overall. Good drinking for the summer months.

Beer started coming out of the bottle when I opened it. I quickly poured it and was happy that it did not go nuts w/ carbonation. A small head of pink-white appears after a few minutes. My colorblind eyes observe a cloudy golden-red-amber within the pint glass. A whiff reveals an obvious blow of cherries. First drink. Nice cherry flavor combined with soft wheat flavor. I’m pleased that the beer is not obnoxiously dominated by cherry. The malted wheat is there. I taste a chocolate covered cherry in there.
