Butters (1622), Virginia, USA May 5, 2008 Bowled over by the cherry aroma. Flavor of tart cherries and grain. Good for a change of pace. noid1985 (49), Broadview, Illinois, USA May 5, 2008 12oz bottle, pours a cloudy orange color, wonderful cherry aroma out the bottle and a very fine fruity yet manly beer Naven (864), Poway, California, USA May 4, 2008 You know, I kind of liked this beer. Had a bunch of these at a friends barbecue this afternoon. It serves it’s purpose: Easy drinking, light refreshing, tasty. carruthm (1109), Seattle, Washington, USA May 4, 2008 pours a hazy opaque orange with a lacy well-sized white head. fragrant with fresh bing cherries. very drinkable, and one of my favorite change of pace beers. baileyuk (11), Wixom, Michigan, USA May 4, 2008 Color was a golden color with a extremely small few fruit zests present.
Smell was all cherry with a hint of vanilla.
Taste is almost all cherry. It is strange, the flavor of cherries is so powerful but compliments the flavor very nicely. A faint taste is present (maybe honey?).
It is for all intensive purposes an average beer with a pleasant cherry taste.
I am giving this beer a better review than I think I should. Mainly because I think it will fill a good void of giving me the drink I need when I am not in the mood for a stronger beer. It is very drinkable for one or two bottles.
greenleaf (90), Florida, USA May 4, 2008 12 oz. I am not much for a fruit beer. However, this beer has synthesized some very distinct components. While its sweetness may override the hops, it makes for a fine cherry beer to sample. nitroz680 (31), Ohio, USA May 4, 2008 I just finished a couple bottles of this stuff. Pretty good, 12 ounce bottle. The cherry flavor is present but not over powering. pretty good to try but i wouldnt frequently drink it MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 4, 2008 Updated: Jun 9, 200812 oz bottle from a mix pack. Pours clear golden with a bg frothy head. Aroma of cherry and maybe some floral hops. Cherry flavor from the get go reminds me of the old Luden’s cherry cough drops. Dry finish with a touch of hop bitterness. Tastes better than Vicks Formula 44!
